Thanks for the info LiA. I love reading the history. I remember where the audiences for a lot of these dudes were 90% white. By the 60's, the black audiences had pretty much decided that the blues and r&B were not good for the image and had bailed. If it wasn't for all those English kids and hippies, a lot of those performers would have died broke and hungry instead of secure and respected. Heck, I remember being infatuated with 'Born Under a Bad Sign' by the Cream (hey WT!) and was flummoxed later on to realize I was listening to Albert King. And that led onto another path.
